Robert Mugabe is the reluctant star of a music video that mercilessly lampoons him as a latex puppet which eventually transforms into a chicken with spectacles intact. 

The video called ‘Chicken to Change’ by African group Freshlyground challenges Mugabe to relinquish his 30 year hold on power in Zimbabwe and questions the 86 year old on what became of Mugabe the freedom fighter 

The song contains the lyrics “You promised always to open the doors for us/Indeed it is you and only you who sleeps with the key/ You are a chicken to change” 

The video also features puppets of Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela engaging in a game of dominoes whilst current South African president Jacob Zuma is seen chasing women. Thabo Mbeki and other South African figures are also targeted. 

Spare a thought for any of the political yes-men in Mugabe’s entourage who are selected to deliver the good news about his new status as a pop icon. 

Freshlyground are best known for their collaboration with Shakira on the world cup song Waka Waka( This time for Africa). The group are advised to approach any requests by  Mugabe for a private  showing with extreme caution.

On hearing reports that rapper T.I. aka Clifford Harris and wife Tameka Cottle ,formerly of group Xscape ,were arrested for drug possession 50 cent thought he’d better take some time off from his primary occupation of hardcore rapper and offer some of the best legal advice money can buy. Just to be sure TI didn’t miss out on the benefits of this legal wisdom 50 cent posted the following advice on Twitter:  

“Man TI and Tiny done got picked up agin for methamphetamines and ecstacy damman. Tiny gotta take that charge. Say it was yours baby”  

So 50 cent wants Tiny to take the rap – excuse the pun. Not sure Tiny will be sending him any Xmas cards this year.  

However Paris Hilton who was recently detained by the authorities for cocaine possession  may have sought the ‘Candy Shop’ rapper’s special advice as the only defense that she could come up with was that she thought the drugs were a stick of chewing gum which fell out of a handbag that wasn’t hers.  

Look forward to the opening of the 50 Cent & G-Unit Attorneys at law offices at a place near you. Fees will be in the region of 50 cent per hour – if you’re willing to pay that much.

Lohan has recently told Vanity Fair that she knows she’s a “damned good actress” and has learned from her mistakes.

Lindsay Lohan is on a path of righteous serenity according to the latest edition of Vanity Fair . She has repented of the naughty ways that were apparently forced on her by her Father. Yep!  - her dad must have forced her into alleged drug addictions , DUI arrests and just for good measure he must have coerced the justice system into ensuring that she endured various jail stints .  

LiLo says that she wants respect and her “career back” and if that means not going to a night club then that’s the mighty sacrifice she’s going to have to make. That is of course unless her father entices her to hit the dance floor in the middle of the night.  

Strangely enough in 2008 LiLo had told Vanity Fair that she was a ‘different person” and the rest as they say is history. Perhaps Lindsay should really lay low and let her acting do the talking.  

Oh and just to make sure the blame is spread around evenly she used her interview with V.F. to partially blame her own antics on seeing news articles about Britney Spears partying.  

For her next film project she plans to play porn star Linda Lovelace – way to go Lindsay
